Filter Mapping Provides a Better Basis for Ordering
TINE Tunga is well acquainted with Ditech’s customer portal. Here, the facility has access to mapped filters, product information and functions that make it easier to identify the correct filter for new orders.
The customer portal therefore becomes more than just an online store – it is also a practical tool for ongoing filter management.
Self-Cleaning Filters Reduce the Load
To protect the cartridge filtration, TINE Tunga has installed two self-cleaning filters, one on each of the separate water intake lines.
The new filters act as pre-filters and are designed to remove larger particles before the water continues to the cartridge filtration. The aim is to reduce the particle load, extend cartridge life and lower overall filter consumption.
“We had a relatively high consumption of filter cartridges, which represents a significant cost. That is why we installed the pre-filters – to reduce the load on the main filter system and lower both consumption and costs,” says Yngve from the technical department at TINE Tunga.
Customer Portal and Filter Solutions at TINE Tunga
At TINE Tunga, filter management is well structured. Ditech’s customer portal is actively used for filter mapping, overview and ordering the correct filters. The facility has now also strengthened its water filtration with two self-cleaning filters installed on separate water intake lines.
Short version
- TINE Tunga uses Ditech’s customer portal for filter mapping and ordering filters.
- Mapped filters make it easier to find the correct products for repeat orders.
- Two self-cleaning filters have been installed on separate water intake lines to reduce the load on the cartridge filtration.
Easy Installation and Adapted Placement
The self-cleaning filters were installed by TINE Tunga’s own technical department. The filter itself requires only a few connections and can, in principle, operate as a standalone unit. At TINE Tunga, the filters are also equipped with pressure transmitters and connected to the facility’s central control system.
Due to the available space, the filters were installed horizontally. This provided a straight pipe layout with few bends, while allowing the filters to be positioned compactly without limiting access for inspection and service.
“The filters are easy to install, with very little mechanical equipment to connect. We also have good access when they need to be opened and maintained,” says Yngve.
A Complete Approach to Filter Management
The delivery of the self-cleaning filters is one part of the overall filter management at TINE Tunga. At the same time, the customer portal and filter mapping help maintain an overview of existing filter points and make repeat orders easier.
The combination of mapped filter information, effective pre-filtration and ongoing follow-up gives the technical department a better basis for managing filter consumption and further developing the water treatment process.
