At TINE Tunga, filter management is well structured. Ditech’s customer portal is actively used for filter mapping, overview and ordering the correct filters. The facility has now also strengthened its water filtration with two self-cleaning filters installed on separate water intake lines.

When water quality requirements are high, a single filter is not necessarily enough. By implementing a multi-stage filtration process, larger particles can be removed early, reducing the load on fine filters and creating better conditions for effective UV treatment.

A small filter can make a significant difference to operational reliability. In this delivery, a manual solution has been replaced with a self-cleaning seawater filter, providing a more stable process, reduced maintenance and improved protection of critical equipment.

Fresh Water Norway significantly reduced the particle load early in the process line by implementing a three-stage filtration setup. A vertical automatic self cleaning filter from the 90 Series by Forsta Filters was installed as a pre filtration step, followed by enhanced intermediate filtration at 10 micron. The solution was engineered and recommended by Ditech to protect and extend the service life of the final filtration stage, while creating the necessary conditions for stable and efficient UV transmission.
