Ditech offers the Russell Hygiene Filter™, an advanced self cleaning liquid filtration solution specifically developed for the food and pharmaceutical industries, where uncompromising product quality is essential. Manufactured using the latest production techniques and in accordance with strict industry standards, this filter represents one of the most specification driven solutions available for hygienic applications.

The Russell Hygiene Filter™ is designed in compliance with the hygienic design standard BS EN ISO 14159:2008 and the food contact regulation EU 1935/2004, ensuring a fully cleanable and crevice free construction. Every component is carefully engineered to eliminate dirt traps and bacterial harbours, allowing the filter to be easily cleaned between production batches. All product contact surfaces are polished to below Ra 0.6 as standard, with an option for Ra 0.1 to achieve an even more refined surface finish.

Easy handling and increased productivity

The Russell Hygiene Filter™ is designed for fast, tool free disassembly, enabling a single operator to easily dismantle the unit for cleaning and maintenance. This improves operator efficiency while maintaining smooth production flow. The filter is also fully enclosed, preventing airborne contamination and safeguarding both product integrity and operator health and safety.

Self cleaning technology for continuous filtration

In addition to its hygienic design, the Russell Hygiene Filter™ incorporates the proven self cleaning technology of the Russell Eco Filter®. This allows oversized particles to be removed continuously, down to 10 microns, through constant cleaning of the filter element apertures. The result is higher product yield and minimal waste.

Unlike traditional filter bags and cartridge filters, the Russell Hygiene Filter™ uses a reusable, crevice free filter element. This eliminates the costs and environmental impact associated with disposable filter media, providing a more sustainable filtration solution.
