Havfisk is building a new, highly advanced trawler at Vard Søviknes. The vessel, named Kongsfjord, features several new technological solutions and will be the first stern trawler with an integrated energy storage system, enabling operation with battery power, diesel mechanical, and diesel electric propulsion.

The main engine is a Bergen BRM9 with an output of 4,800 kW. To ensure clean lubricating oil and diesel, the shipowner has chosen filters instead of traditional separators for this project. Ditech will deliver GreenOil filtration systems for continuous purification of fuel and lubricating oil. The delivery also includes frequency controlled preheaters to ensure stable oil temperature.
