In 2021, the shipowner implemented the lubricating oil system as an alternative to oil separators. Following the transition to GreenOil filters, there have been no costs related to service or maintenance of the installation. In addition, significant savings have been achieved through a substantial reduction of sludge on board.
Success with filtration instead of separators
The positive experience with the system has been a key factor in the shipowner once again choosing Ditech’s solutions. In the second quarter of 2022, a GreenOil MDO MGO filtration system was installed. The installation was carried out by the shipowner without any challenges. In cooperation with Ditech, a prefilter was added to remove the largest particles, a solution that has proven to be highly effective.
